Carl Ikeme will make his full league debut for Wolves
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has no qualms abut playing young goalkeeper Carl Ikeme as his side look to keep up their excellent start to the season.
Ikeme, 22, will make his full league debut for Wolves in place of suspended Wayne Hennessey against Bristol City.
"Nobody has any worries or fears about him playing," McCarthy told BBC WM.
McCarthy is also delighted to see Matt Murray fit enough to return as cover for Ikeme on bench duty after missing the last 14 months with a knee injury.
"It's great to have him back," said McCarthy. "He's a big personality around the place and everybody loves him."
But it is Ikeme who will keep goal in the lunchtime kick-off at Molineux against a Bristol City side yet to concede a goal in three away games.
And, fuelled by the boost of coming into a flying team who have clocked up six straight wins, scoring 19 goals in the process, McCarthy is confident that Ikeme has the quality to cope with the atmosphere generated by an expected near capacity crowd.
"If you spoke to anyone in the squad," said McCarthy, "they would recognise what a talented keeper he is."
