Fitton is looking forward to a successful season with Swindon
Swindon chairman Andrew Fitton has told manager Danny Wilson he wants the team to be challenging for a League One play-off place next season.
After a disappointing 2008/09 campaign, the Town supremo is expecting a much better term.
Fitton told BBC Wiltshire he thinks his targets are stretching but realistic.
"I want to be in and around the play-off positions and then I want some good cup performances because people like the excitement of cups," he said.
Fitton appreciates that competition at the top of League One is likely to be stiff next season with Norwich, Leeds, Charlton and Southampton all set to spend big money to earn promotion.
"There's no lack of ambition. It's all about achieving continuous progress and sustainability," he said.
Fitton appointed Wilson last December and has seen the manager already make two summer signings with Watford striker Theo Robinson also close to joining.
