Dan Harding is on loan at Roots Hall from Ipswich Town
Southend United full-back Dan Harding will serve a three-match ban after the Football Association rejected an appeal by the League One side.
He was dismissed after 68 minutes of Saturday's 1-1 draw with Stockport for a tackle on Leon McSweeney.
It means the Ipswich loanee will be absent for the League One games against Swindon Town, at home, and the trips to Scunthorpe United and Bristol Rovers.
Boss Steve Tilson said after the game: "It was not a sending-off."
