Sheffield United have appointed John Carver as first-team coach on a three-year deal from Plymouth Argyle.
The move reunites Carver with Blades boss Gary Speed after the pair worked together at Newcastle where Carver was assistant to Sir Bobby Robson.
The 45-year-old has also previously worked with Blades assistant manager Sam Ellis at Leeds United.
Carver, who had been at Plymouth since December 2009, turned down a move to coach at Burnley in January.
