English Championship club Middlesbrough are weighing up a move for Rangers striker Kris Boyd.
Boro manager Gordon Strachan watched the 26-year-old, who is out of contract in the summer, in the 1-1 draw in last weekend's Old Firm derby.
Boyd is free to talk to other clubs from this month about a possible move away from Ibrox.
Strachan, who left Celtic at the end of last season, is also keen to recruit Gary Caldwell and Barry Robson.
Boyd rejected a move to Birmingham City last January after Rangers had accepted a £3.75m offer for the former Kilmarnock striker.
But Birmingham manager Alex McLeish is expected to make another offer in the current transfer window.
Boyd last month broke Henrik Larsson's SPL goals record when he netted five times in the 7-1 demolition of Dundee United.
