Ahmed scored his only goal for Vale at a 2-0 win at Macclesfield in February
Port Vale manager Dean Glover has yet to decide whether to extend the loan spell of Tranmere's Adnan Ahmed.
The midfielder's loan spell is due to finish at the end of March, when Ahmed will join up with the Pakistan national team for a 10-day training camp.
Glover told BBC Radio Stoke: "While his loan spell is up, he's called up to Pakistan so it's something we need to weigh up when the time comes."
Ahmed has made four starts and one sub appearance for Vale, scoring one goal.
His only strike for the Valiants came in a 2-0 win at Macclesfield on 25 February.
The 24-year-old made his comeback from suspension as a sub against Accrington on Tuesday, and is expected to return to the starting line-up when Vale travel to Bradford in League Two on Saturday (March 21, 1500 GMT).
