We must beat Doncaster - Sturrock

Paul Sturrock admits his Plymouth side desperately need to secure three points against Doncaster this weekend to avoid an end-of-season relegation fight.

"Three points would go a long way on Saturday, it's a vital game for us," the Pilgrims boss told BBC Radio Devon.

"Our home form has not been the best but if we take confidence from the Coventry game into our next game, I'm sure we'll get the result we need.

"Doncaster are a dangerous team if you don't treat them properly."

Sturrock added: "They'll want to pass the ball and if you allow that to happen, they'll cause us concern."

Further talks are also taking place at Home Park on Thursday regarding a possible Japanese takeover of the club.

Businessman Yasuaki Kagami has been meeting with the Argyle board in Plymouth to discuss buying a 51% share in the Pilgrims' holding company.

Kagami is already a director at the club following the purchase of his 20% stake last April.
