Sturrock felt the referee "lost the game halfway through"
Plymouth Argyle manager Paul Sturrock has criticised the referee after his side went down 1-0 at Swansea City in the Championship on Tuesday night.
Berkshire-based official Iain Williamson gave Swansea a 77th minute spot kick which Jason Scotland converted to seal the win.
"The players are adamant it wasn't a penalty," Sturrock told BBC Devon.
"The referee booked six of my players tonight but two or three of them were iffy to say the least," he added.
"Every time there was a tackle of some sort the crowd made a noise and the next minute the yellow card's come out.
"I just feel he lost the game halfway through and in the end it went down to the referee's decision on a penalty," Sturrock said.
And the Scotsman felt his side deserved to come away from the Liberty Stadium with a point:
"I didn't feel we did enough to win the game. It had 0-0 written all over it.
"The players are absolutely gutted. They gave an awful lot of energy tonight. We missed a couple of our key players but in the end I did feel that a draw would have been fair."
