Keates wants Peterborough push

Dean Keates wants high-flying Peterborough United to finish off the job as the League One season enters its final few weeks.

Posh sit second in the table going into Tuesday's match with Scunthorpe.

Keates told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "It's not just about performing well at the end of the season, we've had to be on top of our game since August.

"We've got players who will create chances so if we continue to keep clean sheets we will matches."

With ten matches left to play, Posh are three points ahead of Milton Keynes but have played three games more.

Keates says his side must concentrate on themselves rather than worrying about the MK Dons.

"I'd be lying if I said we didn't look at the table, but it's about us first and foremost, we need to get our job done," he said.

"We just have to win our games, Milton Keynes have a few games in hand, but hopefully they'll drop points."

Posh look set to return to a 4-4-2 formation against Scunthorpe with Craig Mackail-Smith coming in for Sergio Torres.

The match comes too soon for Craig Morgan so Gabby Zakuani and Christ Westwood should continue at centre-back.
