Zakuani has been a virtual ever-present for Posh since arriving on loan
Peterborough United defender Gabby Zakuani is keen to make the clash with Tranmere on Saturday after grazing his leg in Tuesday's 2-2 draw at Swindon.
The 21-year-old is on loan at London Road from Premier League side Fulham.
Zakuani told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "I would say I'm there or there abouts for Saturday, at least 50-50, hopefully tomorrow I can be jogging.
"I want to play every game, so I will definitely declare myself fit and then it's down to the manager to pick me."
The DR Congo international joined Posh on loan from Fulham in September and will complete a permanent move to London Road in January.
The former Leyton Orient and Stoke star lasted only 11 minutes of the draw at Swindon before picking up the injury which has made him a doubt for the upcoming FA Cup second round tie.
"I was shielding the ball out of play and got a little much and fell right behind the goal," he said.
"My knee smashed into the concrete and the impact did all the damage."
