Joe Lewis came on for England Under-21s in the second half
Peterborough United keeper Joe Lewis has targeted more England caps after making his Under-21 debut in a 2-0 win over Wales at the Racecourse Ground.
Lewis, 20, hopes he impressed Fabio Capello and England goalkeeping coach Ray Clemence, who saw his appearance as a second-half substitute for Joe Hart.
"It was nice that Mr Capello and Ray Clemence were in the stand," he said.
"Hopefully it is the first of many caps for my country and I look forward to playing regularly in the future."
It was a great evening for me and a good way to end the season

The Posh keeper is likely to feature again for the Under-21 side, given fellow goalkeeper Joe Hart's call-up to the senior side.
Lewis admitted he had taken some advice from his international team-mate before coming on as a second-half substitute on Thursday night.
"Joe Hart wished me well at half-time and told me to play my normal game which is what I did," he said. "It was a great evening for me and a good way to end the season."
First-half goals from Tom Huddlestone and Theo Walcott saw England to victory.
