McDonald scored on his Norwich debut against Cardiff in March
Cody McDonald has admitted Norwich City training sessions have taken on some extra vigour since Paul Lambert was made manager last week.
McDonald told BBC Radio Norfolk he thought the work rate of the players had increased in training after Monday's cup defeat to Sunderland.
"Everyone's wanting it a lot more than they were," he said.
"The manager's come in on Saturday and changed the whole complexion of the team."
We've got to stop this learning curve and stop conceding sloppy goals.

Lambert was appointed following a poor start to the season for the newly relegated Canaries under previous manager Bryan Gunn.
But McDonald says improvements need to be made urgently after collecting just four league points from their first four games.
"We've got to stop this learning curve and stop conceding sloppy goals, if you do it against a team of Sunderland's quality they're going to punish you a lot more than the teams in League One," he said.
McDonald ended Monday's Carling Cup tie at Carrow Road playing in goal, following an injury to Ben Alnwick.
Despite keeping a clean sheet in his spell between the sticks, he is not expecting to deputise if Alnwick is not fit for Saturday's trip to Hartlepool.
"Definitely not, I think Declan (Rudd) and Mickey (Michael Theoklitos) might have something to say about that," he said.
McDonald was one of Bryan Gunn's first signings as Norwich manager, joining from non-league side Dartford last February.
