Lescott, who has featured 25 times for City this season, also missed his side's 2-0 defeat at Goodison Park in January because of a knee injury.
The former Wolves player signed a five-year contract at Eastlands in August to finally end a bitter wrangle between City and Everton during which Toffees manager David Moyes called the pursuit of the player "disgusting".
And following that win Moyes said the bitterness of the Lescott saga had made victory even sweeter.
City's final two games of the season are against Tottenham on 5 May and West Ham on 9 May, both of which Lescott could feature in, depending on his recovery.

However, England boss Fabio Capello names his provisional 35-man squad on 16 May leaving Lescott, who has nine England caps, little time to find his fitness or form.
England will play their penultimate World Cup warm-up match against Mexico at Wembley Stadium on 24 May, before facing Japan in Graz, Austria, on 30 May.
After which Capello will name his provisional World Cup finals squad of 23 players on 1 June.
The World Cup kicks off on Friday 11 June, with England's opening game against the United States on the following day.
