Mancini has seen City take six points over the festive season

Manchester City's new boss Roberto Mancini believes lifting the Premier League trophy is an achievable target.

A 3-0 victory at Wolves ensured maximum points from Mancini's first two games in charge - leaving City 10 points behind Chelsea, with a game in hand.

"Can we win the league? All is realistic. We have another 19 games to go so all is possible because we have a good team," said Mancini.

"If we stay concentrated always it is possible with the players we have."

The Italian was speaking after his team saw off Wolves, thanks to a brace from Carlos Tevez, helping City to their first win on their travels since August.

Monday's victory followed on from the 4-3 win over Sunderland in the last match of Mark Hughes' reign and Saturday's 2-0 home success over Stoke.

"Now is not the time to look at our league position. We will just play one game at a time and then we will look at the table in two months," added Mancini, who feels the club can qualify for the Champions League if they do not win the league.

"Also, if we don't play it [the ball] wrong and adopt a short passing game, I think we can arrive in the top four of the Premier League."

It had been reported that striker Craig Bellamy was unsettled following the sacking of Mancini's predecessor Mark Hughes - something the Welshman disputed after the match against Wolves.

"Nothing surprises you in this game. That is what makes it so great. Obviously, on a personal level, I've a great affection for Mark Hughes," said Bellamy.

"But it is the nature of the business. You've got to carry on if you want to be part of Manchester City.

"You have to raise your performance because we are a club that is definitely going to go places and, with us as a group of players or with the management staff, it is going to happen so I want to be a part of it as long as I can."

Bellamy's lively performance caught the eye of his new boss who was impressed with the 30-year-old.

"Craig Bellamy is a strong character, a good player. It would be better if he stayed with us," stated the former Inter Milan manager.

"I have had difficult players but I have played for 20 years and I know very well about good players so there are no problems."

Despite a second defeat in three days for Wolves, which leaves the Midlands club two points off the relegation zone, manager Mick McCarthy was happy with his team's performance.

McCarthy was clearly angry on the touchline when Bellamy was not given offside ahead of City's second goal from Javier Garrido but he said: "I'm not going to comment on it. It might cost me a few quid if I do.

"I will just put what I think in my report. But in terms of our performance, I thought the final scoreline was very harsh. I thought we played well.

"I know that sounds ridiculous when you've lost 3-0 but we played as well with the ball as we have done for a long time."
