Holloway orders show of character
Ian Holloway
Ian Holloway is looking for a change of luck
Leicester City boss Ian Holloway has backed his men to show the 'character' to come through their run of ill luck.

Two dodgy penalty decisions in the last four games have been coupled with the wrongful dismissal of Patrick Kisnorbo in the midweek defeat at Ipswich.

But, ahead of Saturday's trip to Hull, Holloway said: "We're going through one of those times when things hit you and you find out about your character.

"I just feel for the players at the moment. But you have to keep going."

After opening up with victory in his first game at Bristol City, followed by a home draw against Cardiff, the Foxes' run of ill luck started in their next game with Southampton's controversial second-half penalty winner.

Then, after a creditable 0-0 draw at in-form Burnley, the Foxes went down in the last minute on Saturday to a luckless home defeat against high-flying West Bromwich Albion.

But it was at Portman Road on Tuesday night that Holloway's men suffered their cruellest whim of fate. Kisnorbo was adjudged to have brought down Pablo Counago inside the Leicester penalty area four minutes before the break.

He was sent off and Alan Lee converted the penalty, to set up his side's 3-1 win.

But TV replays subsequently showed that Leicester had been harshly penalised on two counts - and that not only was the challenge outside the box, but it was perfectly fair too.

We've got to bounce back and keep going

Kisnorbo had his red card rescinded on Wednesday and is now clear to play at Hull on Saturday.

But Holloway, who has this week been strongly linked with a return to his previous club Plymouth Argyle for two players, right-side midfield man David Norris and veteran striker Barry Hayles, is just hoping that the ball now starts to bounce a little more kindly.

"You have to give Ipswich credit for the way they played the ball around and took advantage of the extra man in the second half," said the Leicester boss.

"But that's life. We've got to bounce back and keep going."

And Leicester can at least feel hopeful that they will be up against a team on Saturday who look right out of form.

Phil Brown's Tigers have not won in four games, and have shipped seven goals in the last two of them.
