Crewe Alexandra first-team coach Steve Holland said he enjoyed his first match back at the Alexandra Stadium.
Holland's team continued their pre- season build up with an impressive 4-0 win over Premier League newcomers Hull.
It was in contrast to the League One side's last home game when they were booed off following a 4-1 defeat to Oldham on the final day of last season.
Holland told BBC Radio Stoke: "It was a nicer feeling to come off having scored four than conceding four."
