Chesterfield have signed defender Javan Vidal from Manchester City on loan until 26 February.
The former England Under-20 international came through the City academy and has made one League Cup appearance for the club.
The 21-year-old made his professional debut whilst on loan at Grimsby Town in 2008 and has also had spells at Aberdeen and Derby County.
He goes straight into the squad to face Shrewsbury on Saturday.
