Blue Square Premier side Cambridge United have signed Ipswich midfielder Jai Reason on a one-month loan deal.
The 19-year-old had been training with the U's for a week and was signed in time for Tuesday's match against Kidderminster, which was postponed.
Reason is yet to make an appearance for Ipswich and has spent time on trial with York City earlier in the season.
The U's were able to finance the deal after releasing Felino Jardim and Gavin Hoyte on transfer deadline day.
Ipswich manager Jim Magilton told the club's website: "Jai needs to be taking the next step in his development and that means first-team football."
