Port Vale ended a run of three successive home defeats with a win against Darlington which takes some of the heat off manager Dean Glover.
Vale's Ian Miller had a header cleared off the line before Danny Carlton's cross-shot put Darlington ahead.
Vale equalised when Louis Dodds scored with a deflected shot and they took the lead when Rob Taylor finished smartly.
Vale's top scorer Marc Richards sealed the victory when he hooked in a near-post shot 18 minutes from time.
