Gavin Williams scored a stunning free-kick and was later sent off during Yeovil's easy win over Hartlepool.
The Glovers took the lead via a Gavin Tomlin penalty after Peter Hartley was adjudged to have handled in the box.
Williams' stunner made it 2-0 and he had a hand in the third as he lobbed the ball against the bar, and it went in off defender Sam Collins.
The on-loan midfielder saw red for a foul on Andy Monkhouse before Dean Bowditch made it four late on.
Hartlepool United director of sport Chris Turner told BBC Tees:
"I thought we'd get something here today before the game.
"I have to come out and face you today, and speak to you, and it's tough, because of the way we performed.
"I can't think of any player today who came out and performed their usual shift, and the players know that."
