Gloucestershire's Alex Gidman says this summer could be his last at the club, as his contract is due to expire.
"I'd like to speak to other counties and there's no point in trying to get me to sign before then," the all-rouner told BBC Radio Gloucestershire.
"I have a representative to do all the funky stuff, then I'll sit down with the coach or captain and discuss how their club operates.
"It's then a question of weighing up where I see myself."
The 26-year-old made his Gloucestershire debut in 2002.
He has since appeared in over 200 first-team games, scoring more than 7,000 runs and 13 centuries.
