James Harris is poised to enter Glamorgan's record books as their youngest player in one-day cricket.
Harris, 16 years and 85 days, will break Alan Lewis Jones' 33-year record if he plays against tourists West Indies A at Ebbw Vale on Wednesday.
The all-rounder from Pontarddulais has been promoted to the first-team squad after an injury to Adam Harrison.
David Harrison, James Franklin and captain Robert Croft are rested, so David Hemp will lead the side.
Andrew Davies is back in the squad after recovering from the intercostal strain that forced him to miss Sunday's Pro40League League abandoned match with Warwickshire at Colwyn Bay.
Harris has represented England at various age levels, and captained the Under-16 side on their tour to South Africa last year.
If he plays on Wednesday and breaks Jones' record by 15 days, Harris will becoming the fourth youngest player to represent Glamorgan:
Royston Gabe-Jones played (aged 15 years and 274 days) in the end-of season County Championship match with Leicestershire at Cardiff Arms Park in 1922; William Carrington (16 years and 9 days) - a member of the Surrey groundstaff - guested for Glamorgan in their Minor County fixture with Surrey Club and Ground in 1896 aged 16 years and 9 days; and Jim Pressdee (16 years and 59 days) played in a County Championship match with Nottinghamshire in 1949.
