Luke Wright hit 103 from 45 balls as Sussex beat Kent by seven wickets in the Twenty20 Cup in Canterbury.
Kent made 181-3 from their 20 overs, Rob Key making 62 from 46 deliveries, including seven fours and two sixes, and Martin van Jaarsveld 42 from 28.
But Wright, who put on 82 with Murray Goodwin, hit 11 fours and six sixes to take Sussex to the brink of victory.
Skipper Chris Adams, who put on 85 with Wright, guided the visitors home with 2.5 overs left with 38 from 24 balls.
Sussex are now second in the South Division, while Kent are fourth out of six.
