Callington continued their fine run of form by picking up a fourth consecutive win of the Cornwall Premier League season away at Penzance. Batting first Callington hit 241-8 in their 55 overs, Luke Davis top-scoring with a fluent 81. The league leaders then reduced Penzance to 208 all out in 48 overs as James Shorten took 4-57 and Daniel Davis 3-42. Paul remain second in the league after beating Truro at home by 103 runs. Paul scored 250-7, before bowling out Truro for 147 in 39.5 overs. Defending champions St Just lost ground on the leaders by failing to win at Werrington, where the game ended in a draw. St Just racked up 338-8, with a century for Gary Thomas and 96 from Neil Curnow, but were unable to bowl out Werrington who ended on 226-6. In the weekend's other games, St Austell beat Newquay by 42 runs, while Grampound Road picked up a narrow one -wicked win against Falmouth.
