The Channel Islands men's tennis team have suffered a surprising 6-3 defeat to the Isle of Man at the Lawn Tennis Association's Summer County Cup.
But after two previous wins over Wiltshire and Oxfordshire they have still done enough to make the play-off round in group seven at Beckenham.
The islands face Avon on Thursday and Staffordshire on Friday.
The Isle of Man face Cumbria and the South of Scotland as they look to avoid being relegated.
The Channel Islands have five points carried forward from their first round-robin group into the final group and must come in the top two if they are to go up.
Meanwhile the women's team lost 6-3 to Lincolnshire to finish third in group seven, they will now go into a round-robin group to try and avoid relegation to group eight.
They face Suffolk on Thursday and Cornwall on Friday and will need to win at least one of the games if they are to stand any chance of staying up.
