Border Reivers players (pictured) face an uncertain future

The Border Reivers Action Group has cancelled its planned protest for a Magners League game at Murrayfield on Friday, BBC Scotland has learned.
The Action Group is unhappy about the Scottish Rugby Union's decision to disband Border Reivers at the end of the season.
However, the group is involved in discussions to table a rescue package to save the professional team.
They had planned to protest at Edinburgh's game with the Dragons.
There was support for the Reivers campaign from Bob Carruthers, Edinburgh Rugby owner, who told BBC Sport: "The SRU are trying to dominate the marketplace with this move and take control at every level.

Borders rugby is at the heart of the game in Scotland

"Borders rugby is at the heart of the game in Scotland.
"The region supplies a large amount of players for the international team and, per head of population, have developed more players for the national side.
"The people who have made this decision just don't not know the impact this decision has made.
"Murrayfield has simply made this move out of expediency," he insisted.
"It would be much better if the SRU got behind the game in this country and stopped all the negativity."
Meanwhile, Murray Watson, spokesman for the Border Reivers Action Group, said he was confident the club would be saved.
"I think we've got a really good chance of putting together a deal.
"We can do an awful lot that is constructive for rugby, not just in the Borders, but in Scotland.
"We've been working on this assumption for about eight months and have got a number of quite exciting new and innovative ideas," he added.
"Some of which are quite far down the line, but last week's announcement has made us concentrate on rescuing the Reivers."
