Abraham's bans in 2009 total 13 weeks

Sale back-row forward Luke Abraham has been suspended for three weeks after pleading guilty to stamping on Bath's Michael Claassens.

The incident occurred during a Guinness Premiership match at Edgeley Park on 18 September, which Bath won 25-12.

Abraham's ban runs from 24 September to 14 October and he is free to play again from 15 October.

It is the third time the 26-year-old has been suspended by the Rugby Football Union this year.

In March, he was banned for eight weeks for headbutting an opponent.

That followed a two-week suspension in January for striking Bath centre Alex Crockett with his head.

He also pleaded guilty to both of those charges at RFU disciplinary hearings.

Abraham joined the Sharks from Leicester Tigers on a two-year contract in May 2008.
