Williams joined Newcastle from Leeds Rhinos RLFC in July
Newcastle director of rugby Steve Bates has hailed the impact of winger Danny Williams after his try in the 20-16 European Challenge Cup win in Parma.
Williams, 22, who joined from Super League side Leeds in the summer, has scored three tries in three matches and Bates is pleased with his development.
"He's learning very quickly, he's doing the simple things well and he finishes well," he told BBC Radio Newcastle.
"He's competitive and energetic and he's coming along encouragingly."
Falcons began the European Challenge Cup group campaign with a defeat by Brive in France.
But with two wins on the trot, against Cetransa and Parma, and Brive's defeat by Parma, Bates believes the group is very much open.
"Brive still have to come to us and Parma have still got to go to Brive, so it's still in the melting pot," he added.
"We are just going to concentrate on next week's visit of Parma, win that and we'll see where we are at the end of that period."
