Young hopes speculation linking him with Leicester is over

Cardiff Blues boss Dai Young has ended speculation linking him with taking over at Leicester. But Young hinted the club has lost its battle to hold on to centre Jamie Robinson, who has been linked with a move to French club Toulon. On his own position, Young said: "I can categorically say that my future is here and I've got no interest in moving from the Blues." Of Robinson, he said: "There will be a statement from the club shortly." Speaking about being linked with the Tigers, Young told the media: "I think that's one that needs to be put to bed quite quickly really. "I don't want to keep answering questions on this.

"I'm 100 per cent committed to our chairman [Peter Thomas] here and working with our chairman to give the success this region probably deserves and which the fans deserve. "So I think that's the end of it, hopefully. I can't help the speculation. I can't help being linked or not linked with other clubs." Robinson, 28, who has spent 10 years at the Arms Park, is currently considering his options. The Blues offered Robinson, who is out of favour with Wales, a new contract and he was given more time to finalise his plans. Robinson has been kept out of some Blues games by the Wales partnership of Tom Shanklin and Jamie Roberts. His younger brother Nicky is also considering his future with the Blues. Young said: "It goes without saying that you always want to keep your better players and he [Jamie] is certainly one of our better players. "The club may want to keep them, but it's up to the players as well to decide on where they feel their future lies best. "They [French clubs] are certainly flooding the market with a lot of money and it turns a lot of players' heads, really. "I'm sure England are worrying about it and licking their wounds at the minute and let's hope it doesn't come too thick and fast here as well because we don't want to lose players anywhere... we don't want an exodus over to France." The link with Toulon came in the same week Wasps trio James Haskell, Tom Palmer (both Stade Francais) and Riki Flutey (Brive) joined French clubs for next season. If Robinson does take up up the offer across the channel he would link up with Sales director of rugby Philippe Saint Andre, who is due to join Toulon in the summer.
