Ireland win their eighth game in succession with captain Brian O'Driscoll scoring his 18th touchdown for his country and breaking Brendan Mullin's Irish try-scoring record. David Humphreys was deservedly the man of the match.

Full-time: Ireland are happy to run down the clock to deservedly take the honours.

80 mins +2: Ireland attempt to keep the ball alive from deep, but are pinnned down by Italy.

80 mins +2: Pez turns down a four on two overlap and kicks to the corner instead.

80 mins: Another great line-out take by O'Kelly sets up an Ireland attack, but the Irish are penalised for holding on to the ball in a ruck.

79 mins: Italy do not give up but are finding the Irish defence very hard to breach.

76 mins: Andrea de Rossi is denied a try after a great run, but he spilled the ball while diving over the line. Video referee confirms a knock-on.

A brilliantly-crafted try set-up by Humphreys saw O'Driscoll feed Murphy to score his 10th try for Ireland. Humphreys again converts.

Italy build up some sustained pressure on Ireland and Dallan slips through a gap to score under the posts with Pez converting.

52 mins: Humphreys misses a touchline kick and Dallan makes great strides deep into the Ireland 22. O'Driscoll clears the danger.

50 mins: Murphy penalised after a fracas with Mauro Bergamasco but Ireland snaffle the ball from an attacking Italian line-out.

48 mins: A clever kick by Humphreys has Italy in all sorts of problems with Vaccarri just getting back to deny Hickie a try.

47 mins: Dominguez is replaced by Rotherham fly-half Pez.

46 mins: Dominguez misses his second penalty from short range.

43 mins: Italy 3-23 Ireland
Humphreys starts and finishes a great scoring move by Ireland. His high ball is spilled by Paolo Vaccari and he regains possession to dart over for an unconverted try.

42 mins: Italy disrupt Ireland and force the visitors back into their own half, but the Italians give away a silly penalty and Humphreys clears the danger.

41 mins: Ireland begin with Marcus Horan replacing Corrigan in the front-row.

Half-time: Ireland lose their loose-head prop Reggie Corrigan with a wrist injury, but his side are deserved leaders.

41 mins: Italy overturn Ireland's scrum and gain a penalty at the resulting ruck. Dominguez surprisingly misses from 30 metres.

Italy flanker Aaron Persico caught offside in front of his own posts and Humphreys converts his second penalty.

36 mins: O'Driscoll nearly squeezes in at the corner after a flowing move by the Ireland three-quarter line.

35 mins: Humphreys spirals a kick down near the Italian goal-line.

Kevin Maggs caught offside and although Italy try a quick penalty, they fail to score. Penalty re-taken and Dominguez gives Italy their first points of the game.

30 mins: Italy 0-15 Ireland
A neat chip ahead by Humphreys has Italy funnelling back and from a five-metre scrum the ball was finally worked out right for winger John Kelly to score in the corner. Humphreys misses conversion.

28 mins: A long period of pressure by Ireland is finally broken by a hefty clearance kick by Dominguez.

25 mins: Italy 0-10 Ireland
Italy caught offside on their own 22 and Humphreys slots over a penalty.

23 mins: Murphy makes another fine take from a Garryowen by Dominguez.

20 mins: A Murphy burst and kick downfield puts Ireland on the attack again.

17 mins: Italy 0-7 Ireland
A great kick and chase by Hickie puts Italy under pressure and when Ireland win a line-out scrum-half Peter Stringer scrambles over for the opening score of game. Humphreys converts.

16 mins: Ireland finding life difficult, and Dominguez keeps pushing back with delicate kicks.

14 mins: A clever kick by O'Driscoll has Dallan scampering back to clear.

11 mins: Humphreys fumbles ball under his own posts and from the resulting scrum Ireland overturn possession and clear ball down to Italy's 22.

10 mins: Murphy has to look sharp to clear from a Dallan kick through.

9 mins: Dominguez misses a drop-goal attempt from 30 metres as Italy keep up pressure in Ireland half.

8 mins: O'Kelly wins second line-out against the throw.

5 mins: Denis Hickie misses a touchline clearance and Italy run the ball back with Humphreys making a saving tackle on Dennis Dallan.
