Leeds winger Tom Biggs's future at the Premiership-bound club remains in major doubt after he was left out of Carnegie's National Trophy final squad.
The England sevens star missed the 23-18 Twickenham defeat by Moseley.
That has fuelled speculation the 24-year-old will leave the club in the summer when his contract expires.
Head coach Neil Back told BBC Radio Leeds: "I'm not sure what to say about this at the moment. We have not finalised his contract as yet."
Biggs had wanted to leave Headingley following Leeds' relegation to National One in the summer of 2008, but Leeds managed to keep hold of him.
He has been linked with a move to Leicester Tigers, who are looking for a replacement for Wasps-bound Tom Varndell.
Biggs is Carnegie's second highest try scorer this season, registering 13 tries in 17 appearances.
Back added: "We picked the squad for the final on form and the right balance and obviously Tom didn't make it on that criteria."
