Devon's two sides have been handed very different ties in the draw for next month's National Trophy fourth round.
Exeter Chiefs will fancy their chances of progressing after being drawn at home to mid-table National Three North side Preston Grasshoppers.
But county rivals Plymouth Albion have a much tougher task to make it through as they face the long trip to fellow National One side Doncaster.
Both games are scheduled to be played on Saturday, 17 January.
The Chiefs made the final last season but were beaten by Northampton, while Plymouth went out in the semi-finals to the same opponents.
