Douglas got back to winning ways in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Two on Saturday with a 17-3 win over Crewe and Nantwich at Port-e-Chee Meadow.
Bryn Snellgrove scored two early penalties for Douglas and at half-time the game was finely balanced at 6-3.
The Manx team took control early in the second half with Peter Fisher going over for five points.
Snellgrove then put the game beyond any doubt with two late drop goals. The win sees Douglas climb to sixth.
Meanwhile, the Division One match between Vagabonds and Ormskirk was postponed when fog meant the travellers were unable to fly to the island.
For the same reason, Ramsey were unable to get off the island for their match against St Mary's Old Boys in Division Four.
