Edwards is a good friend of new Wales head coach Warren Gatland

Shaun Edwards has laughed off talk that he could give Wales an added advantage when they face England on 2 February.
There are fears Edwards could provide the Welsh with valuable information on the Wasps players in the England side.
But Wales' new part-time defence coach, who is also Wasps coach, told the BBC: "I'll tell them very big secrets like Simon Shaw is very big and powerful.
"I wouldn't over-rate my inside knowledge of the Wasps players because teams do that much analysis nowadays."
England coach Brian Ashton has selected eight Wasps players for the 2008 Six Nations.
Shaw is joined by club-mates Phil Vickery, Joe Worsley, Tom Rees, James Haskell, Tim Payne, Dan Cipriani and Paul Sackey in a 32-man squad.
But Edwards insisted people should not assume he knew more than most people would, picking out Sackey as an example.
"Everyone knows that Paul Sackey is a winger, is very fast and scores lots of tries," said Edwards. "There's not that much else we can say about him."
Edwards has been appointed as defence coach of Wales on a part-time basis, linking up again with Warren Gatland.
New Zealander Gatland, 44, was in charge of Wasps from 2002 to 2005, steering them to three Premiership titles as well as the Heineken Cup in 2004.

He left London to return home with his family and coach the Waikato Chiefs before being tempted back to Britain when Wales sacked Gareth Jenkins after a disappointing World Cup campaign.
Edwards, a former Great Britain rugby league international, joined Wasps as backs coach in 2001 before succeeding Gatland as head coach in 2005.
Together with director of rugby Ian McGeechan, the 41-year-old guided the club to Heineken Cup glory again last year and had been linked with a role with England before deciding to join the Welsh set-up.
He has signed a two-year contract with the WRU and will join up with Wales during tournaments and tours.
