England duo Harry Ellis and Louis Deacon have signed two-year contract extensions with Leicester.
The pair's deals now run until 2008, ending speculation they would move from Welford Road at the end of the season.
Scrum-half Ellis said: "I am a local lad. There was never any question of me wanting to play anywhere else."
His team-mate Deacon said: "Discussions took a bit longer than I expected but it was important to ensure everything was OK and all parties were happy."
Ellis added: "We have a strong side that is capable of challenging for the top honours and whilst that is the case, I see no reason to play anywhere else."
On his Tigers form, Deacon told the Stellar Group website: "If it helps me break through at international level, so much the better.
"I am desperate to stay involved (with England), but that will only happen if I am playing well for Leicester."
