The Rugby Football League have compounded Ian Millward's misery by fining the ex-St Helens coach £500 plus costs for swearing at a match official.
The incident, one of the reasons Saints gave for sacking Millward earlier this week, took place at the Easter Monday Super League game against Bradford.
Millward will contest the fine on the grounds that he did not get a hearing, with an appeal date set for 26 May.
The Australian is also appealing against his dismissal by St Helens.
It is the second time Millward has been fined by the RFL in the past fortnight after he was docked £100 for coaching from the touchline against Huddersfield.
