Huddersfield Giants have confirmed to BBC Radio Leeds that they are close to signing West Tigers' Liam Fulton.
The 24-year-old utility player has only just signed a two-year deal with the NRL club, but the Giants are hopeful of signing him on a season long loan deal.
Fulton joined West Tigers in 2003 but missed the whole of the 2006 season with a shoulder injury.
The West Yorkshire club say they are in advance talks with their NRL counterparts currently about the deal.
