Harlequins: (18) 22 Tries: Paul, Howell 3, Gafa Goal: Paul Catalans: (6) 24 Tries: Gorrell, Pelo, Carlaw, Mounis Goals: Bosc 4
Gregory Mounis' last-gasp try helped Catalans to a 24-22 win over Harlequins after the French side found themselves 18-6 down at half-time.
Australian centre David Howell scored three tries in the match for the home side but loose-forward Henry Paul missed four out of five conversions.
That cost the Quins when Dimitri Pelo and Dane Carlaw scored in quick succession after the break to level.
Quins re-took the lead before Mounis and Thomas Bosc's extra sealed the win.
Harlequins coach Brian McDermott: "Catalans raised their game in the second-half and we fell off ours - we lost structure on offence and defence and that cost us.
"Catalans' intensity was higher than ours in the second half and they asked more questions of us in attack.
"A team like Catalans will fight you to the death as we've seen."
Catalans coach Mick Potter: "In the past we wouldn't have won that type of game so to not frivolously throw away an away win is big for us.
"After losing to Bradford and Hull KR in close games it was really important to grind out these two points and this will give us a lot of confidence.
"I didn't say anything major at half-time because I thought we could get ourselves back into the match - I believed it wasn't too big a hill for us to climb.
