Wigan's Richard Mathers has been banned for three matches by the Rugby Football League for his high tackle on Warrington's Matt King.
Mathers, who earned the first red card of his career for the incident which left the Australian winger badly concussed, was also fined £300.
But team-mate Trent Barrett has avoided a ban for his spear tackle on Paul Johnson in the same game.
He was found guilty and fined £300 but escaped any further action.

Leeds hooker Matt Diskin will miss their game against Harlequins on Friday after being banned for one match and fined £300 for a high tackle on Castleford prop Michael Korkidas.
Hull KR forward David Mills escaped further action despite being found guilty of striking during his side's 22-20 defeat at Wakefield.
Full-back Mark McLinden of Harlequins avoided punishment for a careless high tackle in the win over Huddersfield.
