WBA and WBC light middleweight world title fight
Oscar de la Hoya beats Fernando Vargas in round 11
Fernando Vargas forces Oscar De La Hoya onto the ropes in the first round
Both fighters attack each other furiously in the opening rounds
De la Hoya turns the fight around after a bad fifth round
De la Hoya pins Vargas into a corner just before the referee stops the fight in the 11th round
De La Hoya not only retained his WBC title and added Vargas' WBA title as well
