Galbraith scores for Panthers against local rivals Sheffield
Nottingham Panthers forward Jade Galbraith is to stay at the National Ice Centre for another year.
The 28-year-old, who moved to Nottingham in 2008, scored 24 times last season, with 70 assists.
Panthers coach Corey Neilson told BBC Radio Nottingham: "He's come a long way as a person and a player and he's improved, but he still has a way to go.
"As a club we've committed to him on the basis that he wants to improve and to help the club win the league."
Neilson added: "Whenever we were looking for creativity or spark offensively [Galbraith] was the man we were looking to.
"The most reassuring thing for me was the development in him as a team player this year. He said 'if you're going to keep the team accountable, I'm willing to be accountable too'."
Galbraith becomes the first player to sign on since player-coach Corey Neilson announced that he is to stay at the National Ice Centre for another year.
