Clarke scored 28 goals for the Panthers last season
Nottingham Panthers forward David Clarke will return to the National Ice Centre for a sixth season after agreeing a new contract.
Clarke scored 28 goals for the club in 41 games last season, but missed 20 games of because of injury.
Clarke told BBC Radio Nottingham: "There's the elusive league title that we're all gunning for at the club.
"I am extremely happy to be back and be part of a team that has a lot of unfinished business."
Clarke becomes coach Corey Neilson's third signing of the season, after French-Canadians Kevin Bergin and Bruce Richardson agreed new deals a week after the season ended.

Clarke added: "Corey and Bruce have identified key guys which they want back in order to have that stability and togetherness in the room straight off the bat from day one.
"They've putting together a very strong squad - it's Corey's second year in charge and he knows exactly what's required to get the job done.
"I'm really fortunate to be part of it."
Neilson said: "David is a top flight shooter, he's the kind of guy you build a line around, get him the puck and he'll get you the goals.
"We're thrilled to have him back in the line-up.
"We're planning an exciting year ahead and everyone is going to want to be a part of it."
Panthers have also signed British defenceman Stephen Lee, who spent last season at Guildford. The former Hull Stingray scored 11 goals in 56 games for the Flames.
