Nottingham Panthers coach Corey Neilson believes his side are well prepared for back-to-back matches against Belfast and Newcastle this weekend.
Panthers skated to a 4-1 victory over Cardiff on Thursday night, in a game which counted for both league and Challenge Cup points.
Neilson told BBC Radio Nottingham: "I'm excited as our three lines have really took off.
"On the big ice especially I thought we played really well."
Two goals from Johan Molin and one apiece for David Clarke and Kevin Bergin saw Panthers move joint second in the Elite League, just a point away from qualification for the semi-finals of the Challenge Cup.
Panthers now host Belfast on Saturday night before travelling to Newcastle on Sunday.
"It's a much anticipated match against Belfast and we've been looking forward to this for a while," said Neilson. "Our game plan is simple and that's just intensity.
"With Newcastle loading up, they're a dangerous side right now and we're thinking it should be a good game."
