The Falcons may be forced to delay their return until 2010

The future of the Exeter Falcons speedway team has been thrown into doubt as promoter Allen Trump has run into difficulties over their new track.
Trump has been granted planning permission to build a track within the confines of Exeter racecourse.
But Trump has been unable to agree some of the terms for the new track's lease with the Jockey Club.
"It's very frustrating as we had hoped to have commenced our building programme by now," Trump said.
"Unfortunately both the Jockey Club and ourselves have made several amendments to the lease and some of these clauses are unacceptable to the other side.
"Both parties have certain requirements which at present are too far apart to reach agreement, however discussions are continuing and hopefully we can reach a positive solution," he added.

Trump had hoped to that the Falcons would be able to start racing again from next year, three-and-a-half years after they were evicted from their former County Ground home.
"If we cannot reach agreement soon I would be unable to declare our intention to run at the forthcoming British Speedway Promoters Association AGM," Trump said.
"That would mean the loss of yet another racing season for the Falcons. In fact I think we are now potentially looking at 2010.
"I realise this will be extremely disappointing for our fans who have waited patiently for news, especially after gaining planning permission for the Haldon track in September after a three-year struggle."
The Falcons' finest hour came in the 2000 when they won the Premier League.
