Jersey's James Walker failed to repeat last year's victory on home soil after finishing with just one point at Silverstone in the World Series.
Walker, who won his first race at Donington Park last year, finished tenth in Saturday's first race after starting from 18th on the grid.
He started from 12th on the grid for Sunday's second race but failed to gain any places during the race.
Walker got a point for his 10th place finish and is 15th in the standings.
The Jersey driver was spurred on with a large contingent of fans and, despite not repeating his success of last year, Walker is confident he can still turn he season around.
"It's a shame to only take one point from the weekend but we have to keep looking forward," he said.
"It's Budapest next and that's where my season really turned around last year so I'm keen to get back out there.
"I have never known an atmosphere like the one we had at Silverstone today. It was incredible to see the place so full and I must say that Silverstone did a fantastic job with the event," he added.
His next race at Budapest's Hungaroring is on 5-6 July.
