Brodie was York City's top goal scorer this season
York City striker Richard Brodie believes the club will bounce back from their Blue Square Premier play-off final defeat.
York lost 3-1 to Oxford United at Wembley and will remain in the Blue Square Premier for another season.
Brodie told BBC Radio York: "Even at 2-0 down, the camaraderie in the squad was good enough to get back into it.
"We'll take it like men and we'll get back together and work hard and come back bigger and stronger."
Brodie said the much-derided Wembley pitch could have been in better condition but it had no effect on the outcome of the game.

"It was quite firm. It was wet on the top but underneath it was quite firm. It wasn't a great surface but at the end of the day there's no excuses - they've won the game."
And the striker, who scored 30 goals in league and cup in 2009/10, said the defeat was a disappointing end to a great season for York.
"It's been excellent - not just for me, but for a bunch of lads who have worked all season for the gaffer. We've all mucked in together.
"Yes, I've got the goals but it's been a massive collective effort. Unfortunately the result wasn't what we wanted but there's always next year."
Brodie also had praise for the York City support at Wembley.
"It was outstanding. We were massively outnumbered but the noise they made was excellent.
"It was great to see the scenes at the end. The lads really appreciate it and hopefully they'll come back in their numbers next year."
