Nine of the starters in Wednesday's friendly defeat also featured at the beginning of the Hornets' previous run-out, but the Scot insists all of his players will get extended pre-season playing time.
"Over the next couple of games we will change it about a bit and we will give people longer on the pitch," he said.
"Everybody's got to be able to end up playing 70, 80, 90 minutes and we're judging that with the whole squad."
Meanwhile striker Danny Graham should be fit to feature in the weekend's visit to Northampton Town, after taking a knock on the nose at St Albans on Saturday.
