Gordon has played in all five of Sunderland's matches this season
Sunderland goalkeeper Craig Gordon has refused to panic about the club's home form ahead of the visit of North East rivals Middlesbrough on Saturday.
The Wearsiders are yet to win at home this season but Gordon, 25, believes the Tees-Wear derby presents an ideal opportunity to open their account.
"You can't judge anybody's form on two games," he told BBC Radio Newcastle.
"We've had one bad game at home and we'll look to re-address that balance against Middlesbrough."
Gordon has already figured in eight matches this season, including three fixtures for the Scottish national side against Northern Ireland, Macedonia and Iceland.
It has been a busy period for the former Hearts stopper and he admitted the travelling involved in international football has meant extra responsibility in taking care of himself, in order to remain fresh for his club.
"It's a lot of travelling and you've got to look after yourself," he said.
"We went down to Wigan early and I had a sleep for most of the afternoon to try to catch up on everything that had been going on.
"You have to try to get your body back into the right shape before you play the game but that's part of being a professional footballer and it's something you have to deal with."
