Southampton midfielder Djamel Belmadi has signed an extended one-year contract at the club.
The 30-year-old Algerian was signed by Harry Redknapp from Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad last summer after spells at Manchester City and Marseille.
Belmadi told the club website: "I am very happy it is all sorted out and I am looking forward to a good season.
"We have to get this club back in the Premiership, this club is not for this league, we are confident we can do it."
