Rotherham United will have to wait at least another two weeks before they know if they will start the League Two season with a points deduction.

The club, who have a Company Voluntary Arrangement, had a meeting with their creditors cancelled last Friday.

"The meeting was postponed just because the creditors wanted a little more information," Millers chairman Tony Stewart told BBC Radio Sheffield.

"I think a decision on the CVA could be another two weeks if I'm being honest."

The South Yorkshire club are also close to signing off all the paperwork to play at Don Valley Stadium in Sheffield next season.

The Football League had complained they had not received an application from the Millers to play at their new home.

Stewart explained: "The application and information has now all been sent to the Football League.

Mark is happy with the level he's got and there are one or two more players he is talking about

"I'm pleased that we are doing everything to get the new ground sorted out.

"There are one or two little legal items that still need sorting out, but I'm told that is just a formality. Everything is moving forward."

The threat of a points deduction has not stopped the League Two club attracting new players.

Manager Mark Robins has already brought in four new faces and Stewart has confirmed cash remains in the transfer budget for Robins to strength further.

"The investment on the football side has been quite generous and Mark was happy that he'd got more money to spend.

"I do know behind the scenes that more is happening and other parties are interested.

"Mark is happy with the level he's got and there are one or two more players he is talking about."
